🍽️ Delicious Recipes Using Saraswathi Mill Kurakkan Flour
1️⃣ Traditional Kurakkan Porridge (குறக்கன் கஞ்சி)
✔ ½ cup Saraswathi Mill Kurakkan Flour
✔ 2 cups coconut milk or water
✔ 1 tbsp jaggery or sugar (optional)
✔ ¼ tsp cardamom powder
✔ 1 tbsp grated coconut (optional)
🔹 Instructions:
1️⃣ Dry roast Kurakkan Flour in a pan for 2 minutes until aromatic.
2️⃣ Add coconut milk/water while stirring continuously to prevent lumps.
3️⃣ Simmer for 5-7 minutes until thick and creamy.
4️⃣ Add jaggery, cardamom, and grated coconut for extra flavour.
5️⃣ Serve warm and enjoy a nutritious energy boost!
2️⃣ Soft & Nutritious Kurakkan Roti (குறக்கன் ரொட்டி)
✔ 2 cups Saraswathi Mill Kurakkan Flour
✔ ½ cup grated coconut
✔ ½ tsp salt
✔ ¾ cup warm water
✔ 1 tsp chopped curry leaves (optional)
🔹 Instructions:
1️⃣ Mix Kurakkan Flour, grated coconut, salt, and curry leaves in a bowl.
2️⃣ Slowly add warm water and knead into a soft dough.
3️⃣ Divide into small balls and roll them into discs.
4️⃣ Cook on a heated pan for 2 minutes per side until golden brown.
5️⃣ Serve hot with coconut sambol, dhal curry, or a spicy chutney!
3️⃣ Healthy Kurakkan String Hoppers (குறக்கன் இடியாப்பம்)
✔ 2 cups Saraswathi Mill Kurakkan Flour
✔ ½ cup rice flour
✔ 1 tsp salt
✔ 1 cup boiling water
🔹 Instructions:
1️⃣ Mix Kurakkan Flour, rice flour, and salt.
2️⃣ Slowly add boiling water and mix into a soft dough.
3️⃣ Fill an idiyappam press and press into steamer trays lined with banana leaves.
4️⃣ Steam for 7-10 minutes until soft and fluffy.
5️⃣ Serve with coconut milk, dhal, or spicy curry!
